Meyer Lansky (born Majer Suchowliński, July 4, 1902 – January 15, 1983) was a gangster who, with Charles "Lucky" Luciano, was instrumental in the development of the "National Crime Syndicate" in the United States. Lansky also headed up Murder, Inc. for the Syndicate.
